Kindness and Safety on the Internet

This week we have had to have some discussions on being safe on the internet 

and being kind.

• Many of the students shared that they have been solicited for their phone numbers and addresses while online.
• We had to discuss that words are powerful, sending texts and writing posts are not effective ways to communicate when students are having conflicts or disagree. 
• Group texts were sent out that were disturbing to some of the fourth graders and rumors were being spread as to who may have sent and what was written. 
• Musically, gaming sites and Instagram accounts should all be set to private.
